On Saturday, the Enemies and Triplets will battlefor the BIG3 championship at The O2 Arena in London.
The Enemies feature Nick Young (the team'scaptain), Isaiah Austin (co-captain), Elijah Stewart (co-captain),Quincy Miller and Jordan Crawford, with Gilbert Arenas serving asthe team's coach.
The Triplets have many familar faces, including JoeJohnson (the team's captain), Jeremy Pargo (co-captain), LarrySanders, Jamario Moon, Damien Wilkins and Mo Charlo, with LisaLeslie as their coach.
The Enemies earned a spot in the championship gameby defeating three-time champions Trilogy, 50-37. All-Star standoutJordan Crawford led the way with 27 points. This is the Enemies'first-ever championship appearance.
The Triplets won the BIG3 championship back in 2019and hope to earn their second title this weekend. They advanced tothe title game after beating the Ghost Ballers, 50-45. The drivingforce behind their deep postseason run is back-to-back MVP JoeJohnson (who has a shot at winning a third-straight MVP award).
Prior to the championship matchup, the BIG3All-Star game will also take place this weekend at The O2 Arena.The game will feature the following All-Stars: Michael Beasley,Jodie Meeks, Jordan Crawford, Mike Taylor, Donte Green, Glen Rice,Earl Clark, Ryan Carter, Joe Johnson, Jeremy Pargo, LeandroBarbosa, Gerald Green, Elijah Stewart, Royce White, Frank Nitty andJason Richardson.
Both the All-Star game and championship game willbe broadcast live on CBS. The All-Star game tips off at 1 p.m. ET,followed by the championship game at 2 p.m. ET.
This is the sixth season of Ice Cube'sthree-on-three league, and the BIG3 has experienced significantgrowth in viewership and attendance numbers thisyear.
