Mike Tyson admitted his body feels like "s***" ahead of his fight with Jake Paul.
Heavyweight legend Tyson will fight as a professional for the first time in almost 20 years when he takes on social media sensation in Texas this summer. The rivals will clash over eight two-minute rounds while Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will meet in the chief support act for all four of Taylor's world titles.
Tyson has been posting short clips of his training sessions on social media with fans expressing their concern that the ring legend is unable to train for long periods. And at a press conference in New York on Monday, Tyson said: "I'm beautiful, that's all I can say. I'm doing great but my body is s*** right now, I'm so sore. And asked why he accepted the fight, Tyson said: "It was a no-brainer. He's a new up and coming guy on the scene and I like shaking the sports world to the core and I'm doing it now. It's just something I want to do."
Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to lock horns in a huge bout on May 18 with each fighter attempting to etch their name in boxing history as the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999. The stakes couldn't be higher as the pair will go head to head for the prestigious WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF titles.
Tyson will be 58 when he walks to the ring in July, 30 years older than his opponent. But Paul insists he is right to take on the former undisputed world champion and admitted he may have to pick himself up from the canvas.
"I know I'll be able to take his power," he said. "I'm a natural-born heavyweight and this is what I was born to do, to move up into this weight class. I'm going to show Mike who has more power.
"Everyone is underestimating me. I know I'm going to have to go through adversity, I might have to go to the canvas, but it's about going through with it even though I'm scared, that's true bravery."
Paul has won nine of his 10 professional boxing fights with his sole defeat coming against Tommy Fury, brother of heavyweight champion Tyson, last year. Paul built his record primarily by facing sportsmen from other disciplines and by taking on former MMA fighters including Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.
