Mike Tyson has warned Jake Paul to not back himself into a corner when they meet in the ring.
Boxing legend 'Iron Mike' is back in the ring on July 20 when he fights YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul at the AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, in Texas. The official rules of the fight are unclear as Tyson hasn't fought professionally in almost two decades, with his one-off fight against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020 being sanctioned as an exhibition.
Tyson is regarded as one of the most devastating knockout punchers in boxing history and he recently started training for his fight against Paul despite it still being almost four months away. Whilst posting a sparring clip from his heyday, Tyson warned Paul: "Once I have you in a corner, it's game over."

Paul ditched mega-fight against popular opponents for his last two fights as he KO'd unknown boxers Andre August and Ryan Bourland. The social media star has been subject to heavy criticism at the hands of boxing purists since ditching his internet fame for a career in the ring and his latest fight against 'Iron Mike' has earned him even more haters.
There will be a 30-year age difference between Paul and Tyson come fight night and the 57-year-old will be forced to pass brain and heart scans to fight. Tyson's last opponent claimed he still punches as hard as he did in his prime but Paul has questioned whether the legend's power is a 'myth'.
“I want to see how hard he hits. Mike, I really want to see, bro. Let’s see all the legends, the myths, because you’re Iron Mike Tyson, but I have an iron chin, people know that. I take shots. I think people are underestimating me being able to deal with his power, and that’s something that’s going to make it interesting," Paul said on his BS podcast.
“I am biting off a lot. This is definitely the toughest, most savage, lethal opponent regardless of age, because the power is the last thing to go. The reaction and reception of it is insane. I almost can’t even believe it, so very surreal and very, very grateful for all of that. We’re going to see. I’m excited. I literally can’t wait to look across the ring and see him and give him a f****** death stare.”
