Misfits Boxing 13 had a scary delay on Saturday night as the arena was evacuated following an alleged 'swatting' incident.
Swatting, which has become a popular internet prank in recent years, is when a hoax phone is made to report serious crimes to emergency services, which results in SWAT teams responding to an address. After the second round of a fight between Lil Cracra and Yuddy Gang, the entire Worldwide Stages arena in Tennessee was evacuated after reports of a possible bomb threat.
Commentator Todd Grisham said: "We have been notified by security there has been some sort of threat or some sort of incident. They are clearing out the arena, including stopping this fight after two rounds. We have to leave as well. We are going to take a short break, make sure everything is good, and that everyone is safe... please stay tuned.”
The live feed was down for almost 80-minutes and the broadcast switched to a still screen of an empty boxing ring. “Sorry for the interruption. We’re working to bring your event back as soon as we can," a message onscreen read. Misfits Boxing boss and YouTube star KSI responded to the incident by tweeting: “I’ve never seen an event that I’m watching LIVE, get swatted. America’s different."
When the event got back underway, Grisham said: "We apologize for that brief delay. Basically what happened is the local law enforcement authorities out of an abundance of caution asked everyone to clear the arena so they could do an in-depth security check. They did that and have been given the all-clear so we will continue the show.”

KSI claimed the swatter will be facing heavy punishment for their actions as he tweeted: “Whoever called in the bomb threat, well played. You’ve now just made Misfits 13 one of the most talked about events. The event is back plus the swatter is gonna get sued and arrested. Long day. VPNs won’t save you.”
The fight between Lil Cracra and Yuddy Gang was ruled a no-contest after the delay but three other fights scheduled for the card went ahead. The main event was supposed to feature a two-on-one match but Twitter personality Most Wanted pulled out, meaning Fox The G fought just Evil Hero instead.
