The Utah Jazz continue to be in the playoff mix at 26-26 and inthe No. 10 position in the Western Conference. The team isreportedly looking at being buyers before the Feb. 9 tradedeadline.
Two players that Jazz have shown a strong interest in as oflate, according to Shams Charania of TheAthletic, are Atlanta Hawks' forward John Collins and DorianFinney-Smith of the Dallas Mavericks. He reports that the Jazz andHawks discussed a Collins deal earlier in the season with Atlantawanting Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt in return with Utahwanting a first-round pick as part of the deal before the talksstalled.
The Athletic's Kelly Ikorecently reportedly that the Houston Rocksts are another teampursuing Collins.
The Jazz have also show interest in Mavericks forward DorianFinney-Smith with Charania adding that"Dallas would be open to moving the 29-year-old in the right dealfor a star-caliber player". While the Mavericks have a hige valueon the two-way wing, the Mavericks will need to include him in anydeal for an All-Star level player.
Last season, Finney-Smith signed a four-year, $55M extensionthrough 2024-25 that includes a player option for the 2025-26season.
